Voodoo Art of First Friday Philadelphia

After a trip to Jeff Strouds Exhibition in at Balance Gallery we decided to walk “First Friday” in old city Philadelphia. We stopped at several galleries but it was the one called the “fourth wall ARTS” that had the most interesting exhibition. You can see in the first photo that the artist used organically shaped canvases which was so cool, I’ve never seen anything like it.
The icing on the cake was meeting the artist and having a conversation with him, I don’t remember his name, but if I’m back there I will get it.
The big black man a will call Voodoo child gave me a hug and told me about him and his work. He was from Haiti, but studied in the United States. He had a wonderful accent and said that his work had to do with his spiritual practices which was called Voodoo.
